StoreVault™, A NetApp Division, was formed to focus specifically on the Small-to-Medium sized business (SMB) market segment. StoreVault is also the name of the new line of network storage solutions tailored for SMB customers and a new SMB channel partner program, the StoreVault Partner Program.
Entry into the SMB market is strategic for NetApp; with introduction of StoreVault, NetApp now addresses a wide range of customers and needs, from high-end enterprise to the midrange and now SMB. A StoreVault is an all-in-one storage appliance that is capable of NAS, SAN and DAS right out of the box. The underlying NetApp technology in Data ONTAP® StoreVault Edition provides enterprise-class data and system protection while StoreVault Manager provides a friendly, efficient interface to manage storage in an SMB environment. All management tasks are performed exclusively from within StoreVault Manager. IT administrators who prefer the NetApp enterprise family of management tools, such as FilerView®, Data Fabric Manager® and Command Line Interface (CLI) can start with the FAS200 product line.
